About MAXFAB
This is Simon.
Simon glues metal together... Mostly.
The human embodiment of Wreck-It-Ralph, Simon loves swinging spanners and bangin' hammers. Strip down, fabricate, rebuild.
At the age of 17, he was in the Navy for about five minutes as a
Marine Technician,
"I was bored and being on a ship sucked."
From there he trained to become a heavy diesel mechanic with titans such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Heavy, Caterpillar and Volve CE.
Simon has always tinkered with cars and started fabricating by machining overdrive pulleys to increase the boost on AE92 GTZ's,
"I couldn't afford to pay someone for what I wanted done, and everyone needs more boost."
Present day, Simon still loves fabrication and providing high quality products to others who love pipe work and the smell of gas.
"The product I was getting wasn't up to scratch, so I started sourcing my own. I figured I wasn't the only one with the same problem, so I listed some of my spare bits. We've just grown from there."
At least you can rest assured if Simon breaks something while he's clowning around, he can fix it.
See if you can talk him into showing you the video where he tied his FD RX7 to the workshop floor for a "burnout."
